How He Loves Us

Do not worry, do not be afraid. Over and over again we read scripture telling us these things.

How many of us can say we don't worry about something. To you who say you don't worry about anything, stop lying to yourself. I can't hear your thoughts.

One of my favorite books in the Bible is Matthew because it has two of my favorite verses telling me not to worry. Both are in chapter 6.

"Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet, your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? (verses 25-27)

"Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." (verse 34)

We are much more valuable than birds, friends! It's all because God love us.

Do you have a favorite "God Loves Me" Bible verse? Mine is Romans 8:38-39
"For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

How beautiful is that verse? Look at all those things that can't stand in the way of the love that's given to us when we give our hearts to Christ.

One thing that helps me is the inspiration that's written all around my room.
On the mirror in the bathroom.
On my closet.
On my mirror.
Above my desk.

I'm never more than a few feet from encouraging words and inspiration. I recommend you doing the same.

While you decorate a few note cards with your favorite words, listen to Kim Walker sing How He Loves Us.

It'll remind you how much God loves us.
