Day 4~Full of Grace

Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. ~Colossians 4:6

How do you talk to people you don't know very well? How do you talk to your best friend? How do you talk to your best friend's mother? All different tones, right? Are they all nice? Are they all polite? Now, think of how you talk to people in church. Think about what you talk about in church. If you're like me, you know there have been moments of gossip slipping through your lips or whispers about the lady in the church that "just needs to let things go". Your attitude and tone of voice can say a lot (if you're like me, your face says more...). "Words not only convey a message, they also reveal the attitude of our hearts." How do we talk with God's grace?

Grace is defined as the freely given, unmerited favor and love of God. So what? Grace is undeserved and unconditional. That's the big deal. The day you welcome Jesus into your heart, you're showered with grace.

Share the grace with one another. When a conversation is full of grace, people will walk away blessed by the love we've shown them. Extend God's grace to the people who are hungry to experience His love. Remember, you may the only light of Christ someone ever sees...will you be shining when they see you?

Dear Lord, may I view each conversation as an opportunity to extend Your grace to others. May my words be a blessing. Amen
